SAFETY PROTOCOLS

HSE and Covid-19

We take the health and safety of our offshore teams members and fellow shipmates seriously.

COVID-19 precautionary measures for our offshore team members are as follows:

PRIOR TO JOINING A VESSEL:

  • Team members maintain twice-daily temperature logging forms, along with completing other health/travel/exposure questionnaires. We require two weeks of documentation before deployment.

  • We ask team members to isolate themselves as best as they can prior to deployment.

  • Individuals are prepared to stay out on vessels for up to 8-12 weeks. Minimizing crew changes minimizes exposure.

  • Travel to and from a vessel will be arranged to minimize contact or exposure with others (ie, via car instead of flying through busy airports or COVID-19 hot spots).

  • When appropriate, negative Covid tests are required 72 hours before onboarding a vessel.

WHILE DEPLOYED OFFSHORE:

  • Only essential critical personnel are allowed on vessels.

  • No one can get off the vessel while at port during a rotation, unless permitted by the vessel Chief/Point of Contact (POC).

  • Medic/HSE specialist will be onboard each vessel.

  • Evacuation plans for any potential serious illnesses are identified.

  • Ongoing monitoring of temperature/health of PSOs and vessel crew while onboard vessel.

HSE and COVID-19

Health, Safety, & EnvironmenT (HSE)

We recognize the importance of rigorous safety standards, both for our team protection, as well as potential budget and schedule impacts.

All of our PSO/PAM team members undergo strict HSSE training with frequent refresh trainings before going offshore.

All of our PSO and PAM personnel have completed BOSIET training and travel offshore with required PPE. Trained on and offshore with specific vessel and/or work site requirements.

A record to be proud of

We strive for zero HSE incidents on all of our projects. Smultea Sciences has ZERO lost time in the last 200,000+ field hours.
